Presenting at PASS Data Community Summit 2021!

It's that time of year again – the air is cold and that means it's once again time for PASS Summit. It really doesn't feel like a year has passed! While the pandemic once again means that the summit will be virtual, I'm still looking forward to the opportunities to present and (virtually) meet up with old friends and hopefully make some new ones too!

Session

I'm proud as punch of my new session this year, entitled Recovering With Minimal Impact – Advanced Database Restore Methods. Here's the abstract:

For mission-critical databases, backups are only half the battle – restores are what really matter when disaster strikes. Standard restores, while effective, may require additional downtime and thus further impact your business. This session will explain and demonstrate three advanced restore methods you should know: point-in-time restores, piecemeal restores, and page restores. You will walk away with a solid understanding of these methods, when they are appropriate, and what can be done to ensure they are always possible. Attend this session and gain senior-level skills via extra knowledge of how to minimize downtime and user impact after disaster has struck!

It's going to be a really fun week, even if we can't all be together in person! I hope to see lots of you there!!
